ESET is among the best antivirus software applications for Macs. In independent tests conducted by AV-Test, an organization that tests and rates antivirus and security suite software, ESET successfully stopped 93.5 percent of known Mac malware threats in their tracks.
Another component of AV-Test's evaluation is measuring the effect of the Mac antivirus software on computer speed. According to AV-Test, ESET caused a delay of three seconds.
